the bold use of colour in this landscape gives the painting an abstract feel. the use of colour and texture of of the paint emphasises the slightly disturbing mood of imminent nightfall and total darkness.
It is amazing to read differing comments! All appropriate! Images allow individuals to respond in their own unique way!
Wow! what a beautiful sunset. At sea when it’s almost dark you get that deep red in the last light. You don’t see it so much on land. Love the texture in the foreshore and the way the reflections add a sense of movement and depth to the painting.
